NARK II MDPV Bath Salts Reagent

This reagent was designed to presumptively identify the synthetic methamphetamine methylenedioxypyrovalerone or MDPV. A positive result for MDPV will yield a yellow or yellowish-green color. The MDPV formulation of “Bath Salts” is the most common, therefore testing for all substances suspected to be “Bath Salts” should start with the NARK20024 MDPV Reagent and, if esting is negative or inconclusive, the officer should then move on to the NARK20025 Mephedrone Reagent.
